What happens when you tie a knot around a skin tag?

I know it%26#039;s suppose to kill the circulation and die off, but what actually happens does it puss up or just turn black or blue and die?|||My boyfriend had skin tags under his arms. He asked me to tie a piece of thread tightly around the base of the tags. Within 4 days, the tags had %26quot;died%26quot; due to lack of blook supply. They turned black, and he just pulled them off his skin. No pus, no blood, no pain, no problem!|||I guess it depends on how big the skin tab is. If it is too big, I think a regular doctor can cut it off but if it%26#039;s little just tie a piece of thread around it at night when you go to sleep and it should fall off by the morning. They normally form in cluster of small tags of about 0.1 cm to big ones measuring up to 1 cm.

If you can live with them, then it is ok. Otherwise, consult your doctor, who will remove them by one of the following methods.





* Surgically cutting them


* By freezing them


* By electro surgery


* By tying a suture around the stalk








The tag removal does not cause scar problem and the healing is over in a day or two.
