What home remedies can i use to get clear skin?

Home remedies only please (:

Thanks !|||If you want smoother skin. Try mixing baking soda and water into a paste then rubbing it on gently.

What is this weird thing growing on my cats skin?

It%26#039;s this weird little thing.. it%26#039;s a tiy little red spot.. aobut the sizer of a small pea maybe. Irregular shaped. and in the center is this hard little thing. it kind of feels like human fingernail.. maybe a tiny bit softer.. it%26#039;s whitish yellow in color.. it kind of feels like if you picked at it really hard it might come off but not without hurting.. maybe not though. It kind of looks like a big thick sliver like thing.. but it%26#039;s not.. it is growing out.

I have no clue what this could be.. any ideas?|||Hi there...wollam43%26#039;s guess is most likely correct. This sounds like it could be dermatophytosis (ringworm), which is contagious to humans and pets:

http://www.fabcats.org/ringworm.html

http://www.cat-world.com.au/Ringworm.htm

Ringworm is a very overwhelming difficult to control and cats need to be isolated away from other pets and anyone handling the infected cat needs to wash their hands thoroughly and the home will need to be diligently cleansed to prevent the spread of infection to pets and humans.|||Take your pet to the vet to see if he could tell you. it might be an infection, so ask the vet.|||what the hell i wrong with you take that cat to the ******* vet|||First off, take your cat to a vet. Only he/she will be able to tell you what it really is.

There are many things it could be.

Cyst, absess, growth, tick, skin problems, etc.

Again, take the cat to the vet and have it checked out by a professional.|||sounds like a tumor, call your vet|||Take the cat to a vet. It sounds like it could be a fungal infection and it may be passed on to people. Whatever it is, don%26#039;t mess with it. Find out EXACTLY what it is and treat it accordingly. And DON%26#039;T touch it or pick at it in the meantime. Keep the cat away from anything that touches your skin like sheets and pillows.|||You need to take your cat to the vet, pronto.

It might be a tick or a louse or something, but you just need to take your cat to the vet.|||Call your veterinarian...she/her will be able to tell you or may request you to come in...either way,...ask what the office visit will be???... good luck!!|||It%26#039;s a cyst.

Call your Vet and make an appointment.

Is it okay to help peel off the dead skin from a sunburn?

I got a sunburn on my right shoulder and it is starting to peel. It%26#039;s so tempting, but I don%26#039;t want to damage anything just in case. It doesn%26#039;t burn or anything. Could I peel off the dead skin or do I have to wait? Plus, how long will it take?|||I know how you feel. When I got sunburned I applied Aloe Vera on it and it soothe it down. A feel days later it will eventually peel without you noticing. You can get it at drug stores.

Hoped I helped!|||Don%26#039;t peel it off. It will happen naturally and yes, you can damage new skin by doing that. In the shower, you can rub a facecloth in circles and it will gently exfoliate it. Then apply aloe vera or moisturizer on it right after the shower.

How long do i have to wait for my skin to absord the fake tan?

Well i just brought that garnier summer body tan thing. And i was just wondering how long i would have to wait before the fake tan got absorbed into my skin?

And i need to know because that would be the one i would be using for the prom in 2 weeks.|||It usually takes about an hour.|||Don%26#039;t use those things. I have tried those sunless tans and they give you an uneven color (besides the fact that it makes you look orange even though when it says it doesn%26#039;t), it makes you look dirty. Just go get a tan at a tanning salon or go to the pool or something.|||i%26#039;ve got that!

wait till your skin feels dry then it%26#039;s absorbed

however the colour doesn%26#039;t actually show until the next morning (i always do it at night)

i mix it with baby lotion and it still gives me a really nice dark tan!

x|||It takes about a couple of hours I think. Do a test run before prom, just to be safe and to make sure it%26#039;s the right colour for you.|||It takes 5 min to dry. Two hours to show on your skin completely. Wait at least 2 hrs before getting wet also.|||read the body, it usually says how long|||couple of hours i only know that

Is dragging a razor across your skin with no intent of actually slicing the skin still considered cutting?

I don%26#039;t cut exactly, i just repeatedly drag a razor against my upper thigh until i have raised lines and maybe a miniscule line of actual blood. The worst after effect is the stinging and there are generally no more than 20 but some as long as 8-10 inches. Is this considered cutting?

I%26#039;m scared, i know its cliche but its the only way to get rid of all the bad things, i%26#039;m 20 i really shoud be over this.|||Yup thats cutting|||Yes you do cut. This is the same as cutting. The fact that you are questioning this means that you want to feel better. You know that this can and probably will get worse. You are trying to protect yourself from yourself. Reach out for the help that you need. Don%26#039;t stay isolated.|||Yes. You are cutting. There are easier ways to deal with things. I know that sounds a little crazy right now. I know who well cutting makes everything. But it is so temporary. For a while I told myself I was just cutting to control everything. To keep my day to day life ok. It wasnt ok. My life fell apart again. You need to realize that it really isnt helping anything. You need to find better things to cope with life.

writing. exercising.

good luck. you have a hard road ahead of you. but your life and happiness is worth it!|||so, let me get this right, dragging a razor across your skin gets rid of all the bad things? Wow, no wonder you do this, quite a powerful tool huh? Something that is just as effective is putting a rubber band around your wrist and giving it a ping now and then... hurts just the same without the risk of infection or scaring.|||Yes, you%26#039;ll probably start cutting deeper eventually.

As for your age, what does that have to do with anything? The majority of depression sufferers are not teens and there is nothing immature about having mental health issues.|||I don%26#039;t think it really matters how anyone defines what you do, although there%26#039;s no way round the fact that it is self-harm. What matters is that you have found a way of relieving the awful feelings inside. This means that there ARE awful feelings inside and it might be good to find a less potentially damaging way of dealing with them, a way that would mean you didn%26#039;t have to feel so bad at all.

There is no reason why at 20 you should be %26#039;over this%26#039; - please don%26#039;t beat yourself up. I would guess that the root causes of the difficult feelings is way back in your childhood, and for many, many, people, it takes a long time before they are willing and able to look at these painful things. IF you feel ready - and there is no shame in deciding to put it off - you might think about entering therapy. Make sure you find a properly trained and qualified psychotherapist who is a member of a professional body (and thus bound by their code of ethics, committed to continuing professional development, etc). But if you decide to wait, just be really careful with your chosen method - watch for any sign of infection (get straight to a doctor) and if you find your method becoming more damaging to the skin, I hope this will alert you to the need to do something more active about sorting things out.

Be kind to yourself when you can - don%26#039;t beat yourself up about needing to do this as it%26#039;s a creative response to something extremely tough going on inside. Good luck!|||Yes, be careful. Go to a doctor (find one you can trust) and explain exactly what is going on. You may be prescribed a medication for anxiety to try and control any impulses. Be patient, the meds don%26#039;t always work right away and you may have to try a few different ones. Don%26#039;t give up. You just need to find a way to control the impulse to scrape at your skin.

What does mild to moderate atypical cells from a skin biopsy mean?

a removal of a mole came back with moderate a typical results, now they want to take a bigger pc out of my skin! what does that mean?|||Precancerous...I think...they want to get it all out. You have to have a margin of healthy cells when you take out a cancerous or precancerous lesion...to be safe.

What kind of foods and vitamins would make my skin tanner? I want to hide my veins in the future?

I notice lots of white people have blue veins showing when they get older and im thinking if my skin is darker they won%26#039;t show as much. I cant tan that much because Im afraid of skin cancer or something.|||Actually, a healthy diet and exercise can help avoid those veins. If that fails, try some sunless tanner. Exfoliate your skin and apply to your body but go easy on elbows, knees, ankles, and near your hair line.|||i never heard of vitamins making skin tanner but i think its not the skin color that makes the veins showing...im a tan skin from philippine and im having problems on showing veins too...i advise you to consult specialist if this to happen to you there are cure for this

What kind of olive oil is good for the skin?

What is the best exfoliation cream/soap for dirty skin?

If possible, a specific brand for soap that can help me get rid of my dirty skin cells. I%26#039;ve always used regular soap but there%26#039;s always dirt that I can%26#039;t get rid of. And with exfoliating soap, what do I use with it? A pumice stone, or a regular washcloth, or a loofah? Or is not customary for guys not to use loofahs?|||Before spending tons of $ --mix 1/2 c white sugar with 1/4 c olive oil and 1T lemon juice. rub into skin in warm shower and rinse. The sugar exfoliates, the oil conditions and the lemon juice makes you smell a bit nicer!|||Try Oil of Olay products! What is the best facewash for sensitive, breakout-prone skin?

My skin is kind of oily and prone to breaking out, even though I%26#039;m almost 21. My pores are also pretty large. I currently use a foaming facewash with a bit of salicylic acid, but I think my skin has become immune to it unfortunately. Any suggestions?|||Cetaphil is AMAZZINNGG, but i would also use a toner and mosturizer, it helps minimize your pores! they make them for acne-prone skin...the best is neutragena.....good luck!|||Yup listen to everyone, Cetaphil.

All cetaphil people got a thumbs up :]]|||By far is would be Cetaphil.... trust me :)|||I absolutely love Aveeno Clear Complexion cleanser. I used ProActive for years, which worked great, but now that my breakouts are extremely mild and rare, the Aveeno cleanser works well to keep my face clear without drying my skin out. You may want to give it a try :)

Foaming facewashes tend to be a bit harsher on skin that is prone to breakouts. Try to stick to a cream cleanser if possible.

Good Luck!|||Most defintely Cetaphil for sensitive skin.

Also if your skin is prone to breaking out try going to the doctors and getting some creams to put on daily, these can really make breakouts speed up and even go away for good.

You could try a toner for your pores.|||hmm cetaphil dried out my skin really bad, but idk try it if youw ant.|||Use the Papaya Foaming Cleanser from Bee-Luscious. The papaya will eat dead skin, oil and dirt without irritating your skin.

How long does it take an skin abscess to drain and will the skin flatten out again?

I%26#039;m currently on antibiotics for an abscess but I did not hv it lanced, the dr popped it with a needle and its draining on its own however its still very red and its on my side. How long will this drain, how long will it be before the redness goes away and the skin returns to normal?|||Probably until it fully drains of the bacteria (causes the pain)

Try some hot clean compresses to the area.

Keep up with the antibiotics and be sure to call the MD if it%26#039;s not better by Friday.

What are some treatments for my dog's peeled skin ear tips?

my dog%26#039;s tips of the both ears have these black peeled skins stuck to the tips. Any ideas why? can it be ear mites? i searched and nothing says ear mites causes that situation. there are treatments i%26#039;ve seen online about earmites, but what should i do to treat the tips other than taking him to the vet?|||MANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! or fly bites \!!!!!! It will also cost more at the vets office.

Hope I helped!|||could be. go to your vet...first take a wet paper towel and wipe the ear if its brown or black and chunks come off go to your vet. it could even be like this yeast infection from too much moisture.|||fly bites. get some preventative. usually happens to outside dogs. Vets have the medicine not the grocery store or walmart.|||Here is a similar Q%26amp;A that I found, hope it helps:

Hi, my dog has been having ear trouble lately, and his ear is red with bumps which may be blisters, and they are like peeling, and farther down in his ear, he has brown spots, like scabs but not bleeding. and his ear is a little sensitive. Do you possibly know what it is?

Bumps and scabs on a dog%26#039;s ear may indicate fly bite dermatitis. Biting flies attack the delicate and sparcely haired sking of the ear. The problem is worse in the summer months when flies are plentiful.

Some flies like flesh flies, face flies, houseflies and blowfiles are attracted to blood. Keep your dogs ears and other areas free of blood. Bathe your dog at least weekly. Keep him indoors if possible. Outdoor fans keep many flies away. You can use fly trap bags, called Big Stinkies in my area. Hang them in the far corners of your yard to attract the flies away. Pyrethrin sprays and wipes are safe and partially effective. They must be applied every two to six hours, which is often inconvenient. Horse feed and tack stores often have better products than regular pet shops. I like the pyrethrin barn mister, that sprays an area automatically every fifteen minutes. Holiday and VIP pyrethrin fly ointment works on ear tips.

Bandages trap moisture and make wounds more attractive to the flies, so let wounds breathe. Consider fly masks and light covers to wounds if severe. Most of these flies breed in feces and garbage. Try to find the source and eliminate it.

Many cities have pest control abatement departments which may help clean up your neighbors and other areas.

What kind of lotion can I put on my skin when I am skiing to keep it from looking chapped and red?

Also...don%26#039;t be freaked out that it is also used on animals, trust me on this! I use it everyday...

downhill!?

How can skin darken without being in the sun?

I have not been in the sun since winter, literally. But my skin is darker! I know for sure it is darker because my foundation, which matched my skin **perfectly**, is now too light for my face.

How can this be?|||Spring and summer mean longer hours the sun is out... unless all your windows are 100% UV reflective, you%26#039;re getting more sun than in winter. When you%26#039;re in the car, when you%26#039;re sitting in a room with the blinds or drapes open... etc.

Also, foundation can change colors -- if it%26#039;s gotten too warm, too cold, been left in the sunlight, is more than 2 months old many of the ingredients become unstable and the color pigments inside are very senitive -- a little change in chemistry and the color can go %26quot;off%26quot;.|||maybe you hve been in the sun more than you realize

if you ski that is an easy way to get dark, or just being outside for 5 minute will make you darker|||well your gonna have to get at least some sun lf you want darker skin

What is the most proactive way of clearing my skin of acne?

ironically i wish to not use proactive...what can i use to clean my skin and keep it acne free, home remedies, soaps etc.

HELP!!!!|||i have used proactive and really like it but if your looking for a natural way to do it..i would say change your diet..drink plenty of water eat fruits and veggies..another thing get plenty of sunshine it%26#039;s said that sunshine helps develop vitamin D3 which is very important when talking about good skin..i have also read once that a doctor suggested people to eat one clove of garlic a day..you can put this in a salad just as an example those are just some natural solutions..sometimes your body needs natural help rather than chemical help|||Just recently I picked up Clean and Clear Acne control (or something like that. My bro is in the br so i can%26#039;t go in and look... but it comes in a silver package.) anyway.... It is a three step solution. First you use the soap that removes makeup and dirt. Whenever i use it, I can feel it going into my pores and cleaning (feels so good!) all the dirt out. Then you rinse that off. Next, use the daily moisturizer. You just apply a little over the entire affected area, then you leave it there. Finally, I use the spot treatment.

Again.. I apply it and then leave it. I do this 2-3 times daily. I love it! I%26#039;d definatly recommend trying it. Good Luck! I know acne is a drag, but this should clear it up! Hope I helped! PS. You can get it at your local pharmacy probably like walgreens or somethin (i got mine at CVS)

PPS. I used proactive b4 and hated it. It just made my skin and acne worse.|||First, I understand where you%26#039;re coming from. I grew up with really bad acne, not only on my face but on my body as well. It was embarrassing and I tried everything including cleansers, creams, prescription medications, antibiotics, over the counter medications, and even shots from the dermatologist (ouch!) to get rid of it. I never did until many years later when it didn%26#039;t matter as much.

http://topsecretacnevolution.blogspot.co鈥?/a>

Here%26#039;s what I found out after lots of research and trial and error, the hard way.

It%26#039;s not a topical issue, it doesn%26#039;t help much to treat it from the outside, it%26#039;s an inside job. When you treat it from the outside it%26#039;s like treating the symptoms, not the cause. You%26#039;ll hear from many people that%26#039;s not the case, and it%26#039;s usually because they want you to buy their creams or lotions, and keep buying them month after month after month (or they haven%26#039;t experienced the truth). Of course, when you stop using it (as you%26#039;ve experienced) your blemishes come back... because you%26#039;re not treating the cause. And the costs for all of these routines/drugs add up month after month.

If you think about it logically, it makes sense. Why do we get rashes, breakouts, or other skin irritations? It%26#039;s usually because of something we ate, something that wasn%26#039;t meant to be put on our skin, something that caused us stress and our body reacts to all those things.

Bottom line is that most every cause of acne is related to what you eat, how you feel and how you take care of yourself. Your skin is a reflection of what%26#039;s on the inside. We have lots of toxins building up in our systems and they have to be cleaned out on the inside and that will reflect on the outside. The blemishes, rashes, acne, etc are indications that your body is reacting to what you%26#039;re eating, to stress, toxins, chemicals, hormones... literally a great number of things.

Basically what I did in a nutshell was clean out my system by taking out the processed and junk foods, and added as much fresh fruits and vegetables to my diet as possible. This part is key. I also started drinking a lot of water daily, starting with 3 or 4 glasses when I wake up (adding a squeeze of fresh lemon at times). I also got more active every day, walking, running, sports, jumping, whatever, just getting active. It not only gave me more energy, it help flush out the toxins that were clogging up my system.

What is the best drugstore foundation for acne prone skin?

okay, so im trying to find a good LIQUID drugstore foundation that doesnt clog your pores and can cover up acne. I break out occasionally and i have a bit of acne on my face right now. I also have pretty oily skin and im using mineral foundation right now, but it doesnt cover very well.

any suggestions?|||i tried to help pick a good foundation especially for you: oily skin...liquid...etc: so these are the ones that i got from Michelle Phan%26#039;s blog (the link is at the bottom)

Rimmel Lasting Finish Liquid

This is one of the top drugstore foundations. This foundation works on most skin types, oily, dry, to normal, and If you are looking for a stronger coverage and with longer lasting abilities, this foundation is for you. The coverage is very good, it can cover up dark circles and blemishes very well. It blends wonderfully and gives a smooth finish. My biggest gripe is the color selection. This foundation can settle into fine lines and if you are in a humid climate, it can slip off easily. I would compare this foundation against colorstay as the king of drugstore foundations.

L%26#039;Oreal True Match Liquid

This would be L%26#039;Oreals top foundation. I would say this is department store worthy. This has a more of a medium coverage, it%26#039;s very buildable and blends beautifully. It has a very matte finish, so I do not recommend this foundation for dry skin. The color selection is by far the best for drugstore. You can definitely find your color with the vast selection in the warm, cools and neutral sections. I recommend this if you want a very buildable foundation and if you have oily to normal skin. You can see that it comes with this awesome transparent color selector, where you place this sheet over your skin, and the color patch that matches and blends the most invisible to your skin color is the color that you should select. For me, it%26#039;s easier to fist identify if you have a warm, cool or neutral undertone.

L%26#039;Oreal Visible Lift Line-Minimizing Oily Skin

Ok, for those who are trying to reduce fine lines, L%26#039;Oreal formulated a foundation that does just that. Besides Almay, L%26#039;Oreal makes amazing foundations targeting the anti aging market. This foundation softens fine lines beautifully, and does not settle into the lines or pores. The coverage is light to medium, and it has a powdery finish, so it%26#039;s perfect for oily skin.

aybelline Instant Age Rewind Liquid

Sadly, they don%26#039;t have the cream version of this foundation, which is my favorite. But the liquid is wonderful for those who have oily skin, this foundation is better for you. The coverage is medium, compared to the cream version which is more opaque and heavy. This gives a dewy finish without giving you that greasy look. I felt like this product does not do much for anti aging, I recommend L%26#039;Oreal if you are opting for anti aging.

Maybelline Mineral Power Liquid

Ok, one of the better maybelline foundations, this foundation has a medium coverage and is very buildable. It gives you a natural dewy finish. I really like this foundation, I do not recommend it for dry skin because it will show all your dry patches. And this foundation tends to look oily around the 5th hour.

Maybelline Pure Makeup Liquid

Ok, this foundation is one of the best foundation for oily skin. This product is oil free and is 50% water and provides great hydration. It has a medium coverage and has a matte finish. I definitely recommend this product for people with oily skin during the summer. I found this foundation very similar to Clinque%26#039;s foundations. Very light and clean with a natural finish.

Revlon ColorStay Makeup Dry Skin Liquid

This is one of Revlon%26#039;s top selling foundation, their color stay line. It provides a medium to full coverage and gives a satin finish. It has SPF 15 and provides both yellow and neutral undertones. This is very long wearing, with little to no touch ups. Blending with this foundation is a bit difficult, you can%26#039;t use a sponge. I use a brush and stipple the foundation instead because if you don%26#039;t stipple it, it will look streaky unless you spend a few extra minutes carefully blending it away. Regardless, a top notch foundation from Revlon. Revlon provides to both oily and normal skin. So make sure you choose the right formula for your skin type. Hands down one of the best drug store foundations, it%26#039;s right up there with the higher end products.

Revlon ColorStay Active Light Liquid

This foundation is perfect for those who are going clubbing or prom and need extra oil and sweat control. This foundation is water resistant, and I would compare it to Clinique%26#039;s superfit. The coverage is medium and it blends decently. You may find yourself blending it a bit longer than other foundations, but it%26#039;s worth it because the finish is dewy. I found that this product would work great for people who have oily skin to normal to dry skin. So if prom is coming up or you need a water resistant foundation, this one is for you.

Neutrogena Skin Clearing Oil Free Compact Foundations

I remember using this foundation a few years back. I was looking around for a full coverage compact cream foundation, and heard good things about this one. Wrong, the coverage is heavy but you need a foundation brush to blend, not the sponge th|||Well, there are many to choose from. Check these videos out:

What is the role of peripheral thermoreceptors in the skin?

All I have in my notes is that they act as an %26quot;early warning system%26quot; for the hypothalamus and thermoregulatory centre. Could someone please explain this? It%26#039;s for A2 biology btw :)

Thankyouuu

Sian x|||Body temperature should be kept in balance. For that purpose exists a control center that functions as a thermostat and it is placed in the hypothalamus. It receives signals from the structures inside the body (central thermoreceptors) and from the skin and mucous membranes (peripheral thermoreceptors).

What do men think of attractive women with bad skin?

My friend is attractive but she has bad skin with obvious deppressed scar (pock marks). In fact she is physically attractive and the only minus point is her bad skin - something she s very affected about.

Edit: Most of the time, having bad skin is genetic. I know for a fact she took extremely good care of them compared to those with naturally flawless skin. When does skin start to peel after a sunburn?

I got a suburn today at the beach after being in the sun for two hours without sunscreen and i want to know when my skin is going to peel, if it even does.|||usually when it does|||Sunburned skin should be washed with mild soap in lukewarm to cool water, and patted dry, rather than being rubbed. Some people find that a spritz of vinegar after a shower helps to ease the itching associated with sunburns, and also reduces the skin peel after a sunburn; an application of moisturizer can also help to keep the damaged skin moist, making it less prone to peeling. It is also a good idea to allow plenty of fresh air to pass the site, rather than keeping a sunburn under wraps. Eventually, however, the dead skin will have to go, and some people prefer to let nature take its course rather than trying to reduce the rate of peeling.

Several types of prescription topical medicines are used to treat acne, including antibiotics, benzoyl peroxide, tretinoin, adapalene, and azelaic acid. Antibiotics and azelaic acid help stop or slow the growth of bacteria and reduce inflammation. Tretinoin, a type of drug called a retinoid that contains an altered form of vitamin A, is an effective topical medicine for stopping the development of new comedones. It works by unplugging existing comedones, thereby allowing other topical medicines, such as antibiotics, to enter the follicles. The doctor may also prescribe newer retinoids or retinoid-like drugs, such as tazarotene or adapalene, that help decrease comedo formation.

How to use a tanning bed without getting leathery skin and wrinkles later on?

You don%26#039;t give me any clue as to what your skin type might be, so for safety%26#039;s sake, I%26#039;ll guess fair. Besides, you want to take it very slow anyway....

If you have fair skin, you can get a natural tan, but indoors only at first. You need a very controlled environment and predictable results. Outdoors can%26#039;t offer you that. The great thing about getting a base tan is that with very fair skin, you won%26#039;t burn as bad outdoors. A base tan is about an SPF15.

The following is a set of instructions to get you started. These instructions are only a guide, and are geared for someone who has fair skin. Please discuss instructions with your tanning consultant at the salon!

First of all, you do need a lotion! The reason being, everyone has dead skin cells laying on top of the skin. These skin cells create an uneven surface. When the UV rays hit the uneven skin surface they reflect the light in an uneven way.

The fastest results are achieved when the UV rays go straight through several layers of skin. Lotion use smoothes out the dead skin cells on the surface so that UV light can penetrate deeper layers of skin more efficiently.

An example of uneven heat and light ray reflection is in sand on the beach. The sand%26#039;s uneven surface reflects heat and light in all directions. The sand is only hot on the surface because the heat and light bounce all over before going down deeper.

First and foremost, ALWAYS WEAR EYE PROTECTION! ALWAYS!!

The key is to never, ever burn! When you start out on a piece of equipment, whether a bed or a booth, cut the maximum exposure time at least in half. I started out in a bed with a 20 min. maximum, for 6 or 7 min. In a booth with a 10 minute max. go for 5 min. Just like a day at the beach, you may not notice any change in your color for several hours. If you sting in the shower, cut a minute or two off the time. Always use lotion and always moisturize after every bath or shower.

If you have no symptoms of a burn, you can safely go the next day. If you have no color at all by the next day, add a minute or two. I went about 4 or 5 days a week until I had a good base tan. Stick with low times for about a week or two. Don’t add on more than 1 or two minutes at a time. Always stick with a low power bed or booth!

I recommend using a booth. A lot of people like to “nap” for their tanning. Not a good idea. Booths wrap you in light, direct light. Beds have a layer of Plexiglas and somewhat filter the light. That’s the reason for higher tanning minutes… usually about 15 or 20. Booths are generally 10.

Booths also do not have high pressure facial tanner, they don’t seem to get you as dark. When you have the light evenly surrounding you, you tan much more even. When you are in a bed, your sides tend to look a bit faded. Also, in a bed you sweat, and that effects your tan also. You also don’t tan wherever you have pressure points on the hard surface, like your elbows and parts of your spine. There is also sanitation thing…

Good luck! Protect your eyes! Never, ever burn!|||you can%26#039;t. sorry. it%26#039;s like smoking cigarettes - some people think that if they only smoke once in awhile, or social smoke, that they will be ok. but the effects are cumulative, like exposing yourself to the sun.

in fact, tanning beds are even worse than regular tanning, because the lights are so close to you, and your skin has absolutely no protection. the UV rays will impact your skin at the cellular level, causing damage to collagen and elastin, the things that keep your skin elastic, tight and youthful.

every time you are exposed to the sun/tanning rays without wearing sunscreen, you%26#039;re damaging your skin. it%26#039;s a cumulative effect, as i said, and your skin will show the effects, regardless if you do it a lot or a little. it%26#039;s just the nature of tanning, that%26#039;s all. sorry.

oh, and you mentioned things like moisturizing, but those only do things like smooth the upper layer of your skin. UV rays, as i%26#039;ve said, impact your skin at the cellular level - which no moisturizer can reach, or reverse.|||ANY change in the colour of your skin due to sun or tanning bed exposure indicates damage to the skin. The more frequent and intense the exposure to the sun or the tanning bed, the greater the damage will be. You have rightly observed that people who expose themselves to the sun or tanning beds on a regular basis get leathery skin and deep fine lines. The only way to use a tanning bed without getting leathery skin and wrinkles is to lay on it fully clothed, with all skin covered or apply SPF 30 sunscreen to all skin that will be exposed to the tanning bed lights or the sun.|||Honestly I would say not use it at all! I know that%26#039;s not what you hear but lyeing in the sun is probably better. As far as dermatologists are considered tanning booths are basically cancer machines.

BUt since I am trying to help I%26#039;de say limit your use in them and wear a broad spectrum sunscreen of 50 and up. Also work out I have no proof of this but a lot of tanned women I see who work out manage to keep great young looking skin.|||Don%26#039;t use it alot. Like don%26#039;t go every single day. No more than like 12 minutes (is what I did, but only after I started getting tan. At first I went in a medium bed for only 7 minutes). If you accidently burn, then don%26#039;t go again until the burn goes away cause then your skin will peel which will probably increase the risk of being all wrinkly later on.|||There is not way.

Either bed tanning or Sun tanning will demage your skin.

The safest method though is spray tan.

Good luck!|||by not using it. :-)

I need a good foundation that doesnt make your skin look orange?

I have tried dream matte mouse, mineral makeup, and many others. They all make my face look between orange and slightly orange. I have a very light skin tone on my face but I also have acne. I don%26#039;t want to spend a ridiculous amount of money.|||Well like i youst to, i have quite light natural skin and i always went for a darker foundation to make me look more tanned, but if anything it just makes me look stupid! the best thing to do is maybe get a ivory/fawn maybeline or no7 - around 10-15 pounds and then buy a bronzer! put lightly on your cheeks and a bit around your face and youll have a shine! thats what i do! :D|||Have you tried going to a dermatologist?

Your makeup will never look its best unless you try to get the acne under control.

Also, there are many brands of makeup like Neutrogena that contain salicylic acid that aid acne.

Try going to one of the makeup counters like MAC or Prescriptive to get your self custom color matched.
