What is the best product to use on sensitive skin?
I have acne bad and i need some help. .My skin is oily.|||I 2nd an opinion from the MD however - have you ever heard of or tried Arbonne clear advantage it%26#039;s a regime but you can get the upper hand on acne it comes with a cleaner, toner and lotion and a daily supplement to help combat acne from the inside out - (a lot less harsh but better for you then poractiv) you also have 45 days to return it if its not for you or your skin!
Try using a very warm clean wash cloth (heat in micro)
and apply, repeat - and then use an acne wash. To areas full of puss apply peroxide - or if not to infected use witch hazel and lemon juice (with a clean spray bottle)
let air dry and apply acne cream -
Bi weekly do an acne exfoliant
and once a week (different day) an acne mask.
Be warned you may get worse before you start to get better.
STICK to a regime and you will have results.|||I also have acne,
Use a mild soap with warm water, not too cold or too hot.
When I first got spots I went to the doctor and he told me I had acne, he gave me some antibiotic tablets and some cream, and after a few months the spots disappeared.
So I would advise you to go and see a doctor, or they will get worse. Also DONT squeeze them !

It is so incredibly gentle. As for the acne blemishes, I believe that it%26#039;s generally recommended to either use salicytic acid (comes from aspirin) or benzoyl peroxide (though some find benzoyl peroxide to be too drying), however, please do consult with a dermatologist if you have severe acne. An antibiotic medication may be needed in conjunction with a cream or other medication. And as someone else mentioned, please do Not squeeze or pick at the blemishes as they can get infected and/or cause permanent scarring. Take good care and wishing you the best!

How does stainless steel take away garlic smell on skin?
I read somewhere--and recently tried it, and it works. If you have garlic smell on your hands rubbing your hands/fingers on stainless steel will remove it. Just curious how. Thanks!|||Metal oxides create a breakdown of oil in your skin. When touching objects made of iron, perspiration from skin causes the iron atoms to gain two electrons. my kids %26quot;helped%26quot; me paint yesterday and now I can%26#039;t get the paint off of their arms %26amp; legs. We used water-based primer (Kilz). I tried soap %26amp; water - not good. Who was this in relation to you and how did the doctors say they got it?|||My husband%26#039;s dad died of skin cancer. My face gets occasional breakouts, and I just want to know how I can clear it up naturally and what are some good, effective products.|||First, rub an orange peel on your face. Next, mix honey and a little bit of water to make a mask. Cover your face with it and wait 20 minutes to wipe it off. oh and DONT USE TOOTHPASTE! people say it works by drying your pimple out but it also drys your skin out alot so you would have flaky skin. And the best product I have ever used is Proactiv. It started to clear up my acne by the next day. And if oyu use the refining mask to spot treat pimples, it is gone the next day! It is amazing and I would reccomend it to anyone. Hope this helped!|||i dont find proactiv too amazing. it made me break out in places i dont usually break out. and it was harsh and drying.

What can daily toner and cleanser do for your skin?
I was thinking about buying some toner, cleanser and lotion. I have ugly skin and i always have to use 10 pounds of liquid foundation to cover up my blotches and blemishes, which makes my skin more ugly and pimply. Will toner and cleanser help? And if i doesn%26#039;t what will? If it will how long will it take?|||I used to get bad pimples and blackheads aswell as have kind of blotchy uneven skin. I tried just about EVERYTHING!!! but nothing seemed to work.
I tried Proactive, but as my skin is quite sensitive every time I used it, I felt a burning sensation and it used to make my skin redder.
I then went to a beauty salon and the beauty therapist did an analysis on my skin and ended up using Products called Dermalogica.
It felt so soothing and calming and better yet, NO BURNING sensation because I have sensitive skin. I ended up using this for a month and saw a vast improvement which I also did in combination with another treatment called Silk Peels.
I used a cleanser called:
Dermalogica UltraCalming Cleanser For Face and Eyes
and a moiturer called:
Dermalogica Active Moist
There are heaps of differen Dermalogic cleansers/moisturisers to suit your skin type, so I%26#039;d probably suggest going to a Beauty Salon that uses the Dermalogica products and getting them to do an analysis on your skin to see which type you use. You can probably find a place on the Dermalogica website.
http://www.dermalogica.com.au
The beauty Salon I went to, also had another treatment they used called a Silk Peel - Where they used this little vaccum sucking machine to clean your face. It sucks up blackheads/pimples/dirt/oil etc. completely safe, and not dangerous at all and doesn%26#039;t hurt. All you feel is a sucking motion on your face...(there is no peel or anything). I%26#039;ts great. After you get one done, you can feel you face and your skin DOES feel like Silk!!!! (hence why they call it that name). It used to cost me about $ 100 per session.
I%26#039;m not sure where you could get them from. Only a few beauty salons have it i think. But if you did some research I would definitely recommend it. I used to do a Silk Peel monthly in combination with the creams.
Here I found from the place I go to what it says about the Silk Peel.

Is there any way to get rid of extra skin around the abdomen short of abdominoplasty?
I have had three children, the last about 12 years ago. I am only 41, but I%26#039;m stuck with extra skin hanging on my abdomen. I am 5%26#039;9%26quot; and weigh about 130 pounds, but this extra skin is disgusting. Is there a particular exercise or diet regime - or even a cosmetic procedure that can reduce it without the major surgery of abdominoplasty?|||The unfortunate answer is probably not. You can buy skin firming treatments and creams that will work to firm up your abdomen, but if there are large flaps of skin, then these treatments probably won%26#039;t give you the results you want. Some excersizes can help to increase blood flow to your abs (jogging, aerobic ab excersizes) and that will rejuvenate your skin. You can also look at your current diet/lifestyle to see if there are any causes that are slowing your skin rejuvenation. Do you smoke? Do you drink alot? Smoking and drinking alcohol can change your skin tone. Tanning and other practices that cause skin damage could also be slowing your progress.
Loose skin is probably the hardest thing to fix because you cannot just work it off. It isnt fat and doesnt mean that you are physically unfit. Abdominoplasty procedures have made great progresses that reduce scaring and damage caused by the surgery. Also, recovery time is steadily decreasing due to improved techniques. Talk to a plastic surgeon on a consult. A consultation doesnt commit you to anything, but perhaps he/she can give you more insight into procedures that can help reduce loose skin. Who knows, maybe the doctor can suggest other remedies instead of surgery. Good luck!|||visit http://www.whyabdominoplasty.com to learn more about abdominoplasty. Report Abuse
|||Get cosmetic surgery in India. Cosmetic Surgery is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges cosmetic surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.
I have also read that they arrange financing for American and Canadian patients, as cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible.
As a doctor I personally believe that your cosmetic surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.
My cousin got a couple of cosmetic surgery procedures in India like the breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift through the forerunners healthcare. She is more than very happy with the results. She just paid 30% of the amount she was quoted in USA and is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company. I personally have seen the wonderful results and am particularly impressed with the kind of quality care she got from this company. I hope this helps.

Can the skin of two bodies grow into each other?
This is something i%26#039;ve always been curious about.
When we get a wound, our skin naturally heals over said wound. My question is this: If two people had, say, two gashes on their arm, if pushed together for a long period of time would the skin from both bodies grow into each other and connect?|||Your body is generally pretty good at recognising what belongs to it so it will try to expel foreign bodies (eg splinters and the risk of rejection with organ transplantation) but this CAN be overcome with time (eg with sterile piercings and the use of blood matching and anti-rejection drugs in organ transplants). In fact skin grafts are done in medicine today, but they try to use your own skin wherever possible.
So to answer your hypothetical question, yes it%26#039;s possible (more common in burn victims with skin melting onto skin) but there%26#039;d be huge risks involved.|||no they would reject, unless it was a complete match, blood wise

What can I do to reduce pores in my skin?
I have humongous pores. Is there anything I can do to get rid of them? Should I go to a dermatologist? What would he/she do? I just started the Proactive thing. Will that help? Or am I wasting my time? Thanks!|||they cant be as huge as mine! Everybody is different though, and you need to try everything to see what works for you. Sometimes its pore strips, or pore minimizers, and someone told me that benzyl peroxide can help too [im trying that today] but it would help to see a dermatologist if you get too frustrated. Also those oil removing pads from clearasil [there are also no-name brands] can help avoid oil from clogging your pores, which is what keeps them so big and open. hope i kinda helped...|||Haven%26#039;t tried Proactive, but most of my friends that tried it said that Neutrogena is better for acne and pores and all that.
If the pores seem really big first wet your skin with really warn water (not HOT, but pretty warm) and wash you face with a good face wash like Clearasil or Neutrogena (my first pick is Neutrogena) then rinse with warm water. Make sure its warm because it opens up your pores to cleanse deeper. Sometimes pores seem huge because they%26#039;re clogged.
Then splash your face with cold water (it doesn%26#039;t have to be really cold, just fairly cold) to close your pores, which will keep bacteria and all that from getting in and they will look smaller.
If you want you can use toner, but only use it if your pores still seem big a few minutes after wetting your skin with cold water.
I have really big pores too. I use this system I%26#039;ve just told you about and lately my face has been looking so much better.
If this doesn%26#039;t help your face look better in the first couple of days it probably doesn%26#039;t work for you, even though this system works for almost everyone. If it happens to not work though I suggest going to a dermatologist, who will determine what%26#039;s wrong and give you something to fix it with (probably a face wash or toner or something, or possibly just regular directions like I%26#039;ve given you).
Good luck :)|||Proactiv is a total waste of money. I think you should just go straight to Clinique for your skin care regime. Clinqie is acctually specialized for you, and it acctually works. Also, lots of drugstore brands work just fine as well. But if you are willing to spend a little extra money for quality, use Clinique. This might be the right product for you: http://www.clinique.com/cms/product/fran鈥?/a>
But you can always just go into a booth of theirs in a department store and ask. The professionals who work there will find you more exactly what you need.|||Well usually theyre big cause they have dirt and bacteria/makeup in them, so what i do is to out hot water in a big bowl, put my face over it and cover my head with a towel, sit for 5 minutes, then use astringent on it.|||You could use a toner - or simply use an icepack or something cold will snap them tighter.
Please answer mine, thankyou

How do you stop the edges of a cow skin rug curling up?
I%26#039;ve tried ironing them flat but they just curl back again. Is there some kind of tape or bordering that would work to keep them flat to the floor?|||A skin rug curls at the edges because the leather the hair is attached to is drying out. You need to apply a good leather moisturizer product sold for using on leather furniture. After you put some moisture back into the hide, it should flatten out pretty much on it%26#039;s own. They do sell stick tape for securing carpets, but if you use that before you treat the hide, it will eventually crack and tear, and the hair will shed out all over. Treat the back like the leather it is and it will last much longer.|||The site below suggests Mother%26#039;s Leather Conditioner and also Cleaner.

It%26#039;s tick season where I live in Cali, %26amp; I haven%26#039;t been able to get all of the ticks off of my dog in time. So does anything bad happen to my dog as a result?|||I have successfully removed ticks from my lab using vaseline. The trick is you have to find them first. Most times they are bloated so it is easier to find them. Put a dallop of vaseline on the tick. stay with your dog. The tick will back itself out, so it can be destroyed. The advantage to this is that the entire tick will be killed. If you try to pick it out, sometimes you don%26#039;t get the entire pest.|||They can also cause lime disease which is very bad. Go to your vet, they have preventative meds.|||I take it that you are not using a spot on treatment. I use Bio Spot and I never see a tick.

She is on a fixed income %26amp; can%26#039;t afford a vet visit. We think it%26#039;s irritation from fleas, that we HAD a problem with over the summer. Any other suggestions?|||Hi there...benadryl dosage prescribed by veterinarians is generally based on weight, age and overall health of a cat before administering. Only childrens Benadryl is used for temporary relief not the adult formula which can be fatal. Please NOTE without knowing the above three can be also dangerous to administer this medication ...even if it is over the counter.
Ideally, if the itchy skin is from flea infestation, it would be best to address the fleas in the home and on the cat. Once that has been addressed the skin irritation will subside. Please ask your sister to have a little patience until the flea products work.

What is a good cleansing system for my combination skin?
My skin has breakouts on my forehead, nose, and the are around my nose. My cheeks are flawless, as is my chin.
My skin has large pores and is red. It%26#039;s kind of sensitive.

I have skin discoloration above my upper lip. What can I do to get rid of it?
I just turned 36 and I%26#039;ve noticed a dark area above my upper lip. It%26#039;s not hair, it%26#039;s actually my skin tuning darker. It seems to be getting worse.

What color skin would you expect a person to have with these ethnicities?
heyyyy.
so in order from greatest to least i am
Armenian, French, Brazilian, Lebanese, Saudi Arabian, English, Egyptian, Dutch %26amp;%26amp; Israeli.
whenever i tell people my ethnicity they usually say %26quot;really? shouldn%26#039;t you be a lot darker then?%26quot;
i have a medium/pale skin tone.
is that skin color odd for someone with my ethnicityy?
thanks!|||Armenian: Kim Kardashian skin color (she is armenian)
French: Depends on where you are from (ie. Canadian french, african french or just french.)
Brazilian: Tan like Adriana Lima (victoria secret)
Lebenese: Depends on the percent, but as far as i%26#039;ve seen they range from fair to tan skin.
Saudi Arabian: light skinned
For people to say shouldn%26#039;t you be darker, doesn%26#039;t make sense to me

2) The more ethnicties that are light take away from the darker genes

It works great at removing dead, dry skin. Also use a moisturizer up to twice a day, and check the ingrediants in your facial wash to see if thats the cuase of your flaky skin. Hope I helped!

How does skin infectios and tonsilitis/pharyngitis lead to post-streptococcal glomerulonephritis?
Tonsilitis/pharyngitis and skin infection caused by streptococcus pyogenes. How did the microorganism travel from the throat/skin to the kidneys and cause the disease?|||Untreated Strep throat can cause post-strep glomerulonephritis. Signs and symptoms usually begin 3 weeks after your sore throat. As far as your skin is concerned, you always have bacteria on it. Touch and and then fingers go in the mouth unknowingly. Untreated Strep can also cause rheumatic heart disease.. I had post strep throat glomerulonephritis twice while in I was in nursing school. Unfortuately, it kept me back a year. That was over 30 years ago. I don%26#039;t know is there is now a strep kit on the market without a prescription, but there should be so people know whether or not they have strep and should be treated. So many sore throats are caused by viruses. When I was younger I had sore throats several times a year. If I ran to the doctor everytime I had a sore throat, I%26#039;d have been there all the time. I do know that there is a quick strep test available in a doctors office. 10 years ago, I finally had my tonsils removed. I haven%26#039;t had a sore throat since. Unfortuantely, untreated strep can cause glomeruolnephritis and rheumatic heart disease.

What causes the black greasy patches on a dogs skin under its coat.?
When the dog is bathed, even with good quality dog shampoo, some of it comes off but lots of patches remain and look unsightly when you part the coat. What can be used to remove all the black. (Please note I am not refering to the black pigment where the skin on here tummies changes colour with age sometimes and I dont mean flea dirt - it is neither of these things). Can anyone tell me what it could be and how to remove it - the dog is a yorkie and about 11yrs old. It doesnt irritate her and she is not ill, the other dogs that live with her do not have this problem. Between baths it just builds up again, is it just that she has developed a greasy skin with age that attracts dirt?|||Often hormonal changes, such as hypothyroid, will cause skin pigmentation and oiliness of the fur. It is usually accompanied by weight gain, lethargy, and thirst. Best to have her looked at, especially at her age, and a full blood panel run, complete with T4 (thyroid panel). It is easily treatable, but can cause a lot of problems if left untreated.
There are other possibilities, including diabetes, Cushing%26#039;s, and various other problems, but the clinical signs of these are more extreme, you would probably notice skin changes last (after weight gain, poor condition, vomiting, unquenchable thirst, excess urination, etc).|||skin cancer?? i dont know it sounds strange.. as with anything else, when not sure go to the vet and get it checked out....|||She could have over active secretion glands.. I would consult a vet on this one.. Even if it is just a phone call asking them what they think.

Is there any way to avoid the nasty loose skin that can come with losing weight?
I%26#039;ve lost about fifty pounds in the last 4 months and I%26#039;m starting to notice some of that nasty ****. Suggestions?|||do weights buddy it will tone your muscles and you will look great soon

Unfortunately exercise is the only way to get rid of it outside of surgery, and it%26#039;s very hard to burn, but it will go away eventually if you keep up your good habits.|||I don%26#039;t think you can avoid the loose skin that comes with loosing weight. How could i get rid out flakes on my skin?
I wash my face everday and my skin is clear but even though my face is hydrated, by the end of the day im a flake mess. Any products?|||try using some natural honey... it works great.... look for homemade facial recipes... htey may be homemade but they work great... also try using a foundation powder.... instead of liquid. also using an egg, honey, %26amp; oats works great.|||aply lotion daily up to 3-2 times a day|||Do you exfoliate your skin? Get an exfoliating glove that removes dead skin, or similarly an exfoliating face wash. Limit how often you touch your face during the day. And try moistursing your face to reduce dry flaky patches.|||You should be exfoliating once or twice a week. I would suggest using an at home microdermabrasion kit. Like one from Beauticontrol. It works great at removing dead, dry skin. Also use a moisturizer up to twice a day, and check the ingrediants in your facial wash to see if thats the cuase of your flaky skin. Hope I helped!
Is it normal for tanning lotions to turn your skin yellow?

Does it really work to lie skin to skin with a person with a fever to bring the fever down?
I%26#039;ve seen this countless times in shoujo manga and anime where one of the characters would get naked and lie skin to skin with the person with a fever and that%26#039;s to bring the fever down.

Does anyone have a suggestion for treating a stubborn skin irritation on the male genitalia?
This area was cultured and it came up gram positive enterrococcal bacteria. The area was weeping at first and has improved, but the area is still irritated, red and sensitive. She has recently suffered from vaginosis and both of us have used Flagell for a week.|||they sell a cream for this, it is a anti-fungal and you can get it any pharmacy. Lotromin (spelling--??) What's the best/easiest way to get the skin off of raw chicken?
I%26#039;ve attempted to cook chicken once in my life and it wasn%26#039;t a pleasent experience lol. Is there an easy way to get the skin off before prep?|||Because it is slippery, get a good grip on it, using a paper towel to hold it so it will not slip and grip a piece of skin with the other hand holding some paper towel too....
this is especially good with skinning the drumstick, which will bare itself down to the shank, then you just chop off the end and the skin on it, because it is a slippery tug of war if you don%26#039;t ...|||If the chicken is raw yo can wash the skin off - running cold water and pulling it off usually helps though its not everyone%26#039;s cup of tea. May I suggest you cook the chicken in a pan pan with butter, cook it slowy..if the chicken is cooked - it is much, much easier to remove the skin when its cooked - the scorch marks, should there be any are then removeed when y莽ou take off the skin. If using ht eover, best cover the bird with foil and use butter as a basing. Yummy!|||if you are going to bake, fry, grill damn near anyway its easy if you parboil it then the skin comes off easy and it wont take as long to finish either but cool it after you parboil it so it is easier to handle|||to be honest, i use disposable gloves and a sharp knife.|||The easiest way for me is to take the skin off is while it is still partially frozen. It comes off so easy then. It comes off easily plus can remove some of the remaining fat in some places. If the chicken is already thawed, then during the cooking time...I will take it out and %26quot;peel%26quot; it .|||buy it from the store already skinned. its easier and not even that much more $|||Specialized scissors work wonders. But I agree with the previous suggestion of simply buying skinless chicken.|||Step One Place a whole raw chicken with the breasts facing down.
Step Two Slice through the skin along the backbone.
Step Three Cut off the wings at the first joint.
Step Four Cut around the end of each drumstick to loosen the skin from the legs.
Step Five Carefully peel the skin away from the chicken, starting with the cut you made at the backbone.
Step Six Cut or pull the skin from the breastbone.
Step Seven Skin a single piece of raw chicken by grasping one end of the skin firmly and pulling.
Step Eight To skin a whole cooked chicken or a cooked chicken piece, wait until it is cool enough to handle, then pull the skin away.
Tips %26amp; Warnings
Chicken meat won%26#039;t absorb any fat from the skin during cooking. Skin will also protect the meat from drying out during cooking and will add a little extra flavor. So leave the skin on during cooking and peel it away afterward.
Almost all the fat in chicken comes from the skin.
The fat from chicken skin can be rendered out and used in other recipes|||Pull it off with your hands be sure to sanitize afterwards|||A decent sharp knife should allow you to pull and slice at any faty bits holding the skin onto the meat.|||A sharp knife, a steady hand, and hold the chicked with a tea towel or paper towel to prevent slippage (either yours or its).|||ask your husband to do it

What is a good cleansing system for my combination skin?
My skin has breakouts on my forehead, nose, and the are around my nose. My cheeks are flawless, as is my chin.
My skin has large pores and is red. It%26#039;s kind of sensitive.

I feel bumps on my skin but they aren%26#039;t extremely visible. You can see them up close. My sister thinks they are zits under the skin. They are really irritating. Is there any product that might help me get rid of the zits? I really want softer, smoother, and most important healthier skin. I shower regularly so my face gets clean and I have been using Clean and Clear, the exfoliating stuff. I know that is for dead skin and everything but you never know. Please help me zap the zits!|||The tricky part about acne is that the problem can
actually become worse if you overmedicate. That%26#039;s
because acne medication can overdry the skin, causing
a boost in your skin%26#039;s Sebum (oil) production. This
results in...you guessed it - more acne.
So what%26#039;s the long term solution? Find gentler
solutions or even natural acne cures that won%26#039;t
shock your body into more breakouts.
Here%26#039;s what I recommend...
Glycerin based facewash:
Glycerin is gentler and will balance the
pH levels in your skin.
Antibacterial Soap:
For body acne, try using an antibacterial soap
to slowly dry out the skin. If your skin gets too dry,
switch to a moisterizing soap like Dove to
counterbalance the effect.
Don%26#039;t Overwash:
Wash your face only 2 times a day max and gently
pat dry with a towel.
Moisterize:
Use a gentle face moisterizer if the glycerin based
face wash drys you out too much. I like using
Aveeno moisterizers personally.
Change Your Diet:
Eat almonds, fiber, drink lots of water and avoid
excess sugar intake. Food really does make a difference.
This is because the food you put into your body has a
direct effect on your Sebum (oil) production. By eating
the right foods, you%26#039;ll minimize oily skin, thereby
preventing breakouts.
Egg Whites:
If acne medication isn%26#039;t working or causing new breakouts,
try applying egg whites to the pimples at night before bed.
This natural remedy works by gently drying out the clogged
pores and clearing up the pimple.
Oatmeal Masks:
One of my favorite natural skin conditioners is wearing an
%26quot;oatmeal mask%26quot;. The oatmeal with smooth your skin while
simultaneously absorb toxins and oils from your pores.
Try this for a few days straight. Wear the oatmeal mask
for 10 minutes, then wash off. You%26#039;ll have a nice
glowing complexion right after.
Lemon Juice:
Lemon juice also dries up pimples and kills any bacteria
in the infection. The citric acid also balances your skin%26#039;s
pH levels to prevent future breakouts.
Honey:
Yes, despite your initial beliefs, honey is FANTASTIC for
skin care. Actually, you may notice on many moisterizers
that honey is an ingredient. Much like the lemon solution
above, honey balances the skins pH levels. Test out this
sticky remedy by dabbing pimples with honey and leaving it
on for 5-10 minutes. You can apply full honey masks to your
face but I prefer the oatmeal masks instead.
They%26#039;re less messy.

Can you be allergic to sweat or your own skin?
I developed a rash under my arms a couple of weeks ago. It looked like two different things going on. I had large blistery bumps and then in the creases of my armpit it scabbed over in the shape of the crease.
I stopped wearing the Ban antiperspirant/deodorant for a week. At first I used baby powder and when the irritation continued, I used colloidal silver gel to clear things up. Boy am I glad the weather%26#039;s cooler now!
When my underarm totally healed, I began using an all natural fragrance free deodorant from the health food store. That was about a week ago and yesterday, the blistery rash showed up again. The Ban deodorant and the all natural one have none of the same ingredients, so I am wondering if I am allergic to my own skin under my arm or my sweat? Could this be impurities leaving my body?
Any suggestions or has anyone heard of this? Thanks.|||It might not be because you are allergic to your sweat but maybe your sweat glands are clogged or get clogged from the deodorant regardless if it%26#039;s natural or chemical right now. I would bring this to your doctor%26#039;s attention and see what remedies there are. What kind of foundation should i use for oily skin?
I have kind of oily skin, but not too bad. My real problem is my nose. It gets shiny after a half hour of wearing my makeup, and my foundation wears completely off after a few hours. I use the MAC Mineralize SPF 15 Foundation/ Loose. I really am looking for a foundation or powder that will stay on through the day without getting shiny, and not look cakey. I like to look natural. Any suggestions would be great!|||I use MAC Studio Fix Fluid and its pretty matte so it covers up well and looks good and stays put, but what REALLY helps is MAC%26#039;s Blotting Powder! Oh my god that stuff is amazing! Just set your foundation with it and then when you need a little extra just blot some on and it looks FLAWLESS and doesnt mess up your face and its in a compact so its easy to travel with it, except I wouldnt use the little velour puff it comes with, I;%26#039;d use a travel brush.
So yeah if youre problem is oily skin, just pick up the Blotting Powder at your local MAC store/counter and I swear you will not be dissapointed!
EDIT
and can i just say, that buying oil blotting sheets is ridiculous because there is so many things out there that are FREE that are hella good for blotting?!
For example-- STARBUCKS NAPKINS! Oh dear these are the best! I dont know what it is but they suck up oil like crazy.
And my personal favorite-- TOILET SEAT COVERS! (not used of course lol) theyre sheer and pick up oil like nothing ive ever seen! They dont mess up your make up at all!
Theyre good for when youre in a pinch and need to absorb some oil quick!|||ok i actually tried not using moisturizer all the time every time you put your foundation on it prevents oil from coming up so fast i know you probably always hear about always having to wear moisturizer no matter what but they dont understand how oily our skin gets i know because i have oily skin too. i recomend using physicians formula bare minerals compaq or the loose minerals it prevenets too much oil from coming out. and you wont be able to see too much shine throughout the day. What is the best foundation and powder for acne skin?
Right now I am using MAC foundation. Im not sure if that just makes me skin more oily and give me more acne.. What is the best foundation and powder for acne skin? I really like the full coverage look. But I also don%26#039;t want to look plastic. Something that feels nice on your skin and covers everything? Thanks!|||Oil-free, matte or semi-matte foundations are best, because they are least likely to aggravate the acne. However, these do not cover or last as well as the oily foundations, they are more difficult to apply and tend to collect around skin blemishes. Loose transparent powders applied over the oil-free foundation gives longer coverage. For skin with many comedones, sheer foundations are best. Inflamed acne needs moderate coverage, acne scars may need a cake foundation with minimum oil. Water-based creams or alcohol-based liquids can be used under the foundation. If medicated gels are applied they need to be allowed to dry before the foundation is used.
If your skin is not dark you can go with a translucent shade, which will not affect the look of foundation or concealer. A colored formulation gives added coverage. Be sure to stick with a yellow-based powder (no pink tones) for the most natural look. Be sure that the color matches the foundation as well as possible.

How can I take really good care of my skin?
I am 14, so i have younger skin. I have combination skin, oily t-zone and dry checks. I dont wear alot of make-up and use good products. I dont use anything to wash my face. I just wash it with water in the shower. I dont know what to use.
I really want to have radiant youthful looking skin when i am older and i want to do whatever i can to take really good care of it.
Please list all the tips you can!
thanks! =)|||i do believe that we have the same, oily to combination skin type, especially around our T-Zone. It is interesting for people to think that avoiding creams can help solve oily skin. But its wrong.
You can best help your skin if you do the 3-step facial regimen: wash, tone and moisturize. Washing helps remove dust that accumulated on the surface of the skin, toning provides additional cleaning as well as it preps the skin by removing dead skin cells that can just block healthy cells%26#039; absorption of the third step, the moisturizer.
The key is to be able to find the right product to help you with your problem. I can suggest the brand: Mario Badescu. They have a line of products that really is good for our type of skin, I personally recommend the Enzyme Cleansing Wash, Cucumber Toner and the best HONEY MOISTURIZER. If you use these products, they don%26#039;t have the same %26#039;%26#039;stretched-dry-skin%26quot; that other products leave. This is often the misconception of people, that dryness and no oil means clean skin. What Mario Badescu does is gently and effectively clean it. Plus they%26#039;re natural.
For additional cleaning and maintenance on acne, try their DRYING LOTION pink stuff that you put on your pimples which dries it, ACNE GEL, which serves as your drying lotion maintenance during day time. Check out their line of products online. I dont work for them, its just that they really work and i would like to share it with you.

What is the best topical treatment for preventing a cut from forming into a scar on the skin?
I have heard vitamin E, triple antibiotic ointment , and Scar Guard work well, but i wonder what is the best? Has anyone experimented with these, and if so, what do you think works best to prevent scars on the skin? If you have any other suggestions, please let me know.|||Bacitracin (neosporin) is a good way to keep it clean. Keep the wound sealed up and limit its movement.
