My dog just got shaved and now she keeps licking her belly and its causing her to have raw spots on her skin. I tried hydro-cortisone cream and baby powder, but neither worked.|||Wipe her belly off with moist paper towels and dry it. Then use a triple antibiotic creme or spray. Next apply Bitter Apple spray or Yuk to keep her from licking. If she keeps licking you may need to put an Elizabethan Collar on her. If the spots are bloody, open or oozing you should take her to the vet, she may need an oral antibiotic.|||dogs get hat is called hot spots and there is medications for it|||take her to the vet|||you can put on the cone thing that goes on the dogs neck. It just looks stupid in public though better than depleting your dog%26#039;s belly|||Obsessive licking can be a sign of a simple skin irritation (from the clippers) or something more serious like a thyroid imbalance, or food sensitivity. Please get the dog checked by a Vet if it continues.
Make sure the dog has plenty of other things to do, toys to play with, lots of exercise to keep her distracted. You could try Apple Bitter (might irritate the skin more) or an Elizabethan collar to keep her from licking.|||what king of clippers did you use?|||go to pet-co and buy some apple bitter spray and spray it on the raw skin! i swear it will help! good luck!
