When cooking salmon filets in the oven should the skin be up or down?

also what temperature do you usually cook it at? i%26#039;m about to put it in at 375 does that sound good?|||Down, and depending on your oven, i would say between 8-12 minutes until it%26#039;s flaky|||skin down

375 sounds good to me, until meat is flaky.|||Skin down and 375 is perfect!|||i like skin down...if you broil it for about 8 minutes, it gets a nice crisp to it.|||I like to go skin down that way it can get a bit crispy.|||Skin side down. Cook at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes.|||Skin should face the heat. If you are grilling, sautee-ing, baking, then go skin down. If you are broiling them, skin goes up, but brush a little olive oil on the meat before you put it in the pan or else it may stick to the pan.

ETA: If you just want them cooked, 375 is fine. You can go up to 450 and the skin will crisp-up a bit. Broiling would probably be the best option in the oven.
