How long will it take for my burnt skin to heal?

I dropped my flat iron on my foot (while it was hot). After first, it was white, but now, it is brownish in color. There is some sagging skin on there.

1) How long would it take to heel?

2) Any suggestions on how to speed up the healing process?|||i kno this will sounds kinda weird but put toothpaste on it. it helps it heel faster but it will still take a few days at least...but it shouldnt take more than a week or two. it just depends on how healthy you are.|||The length of time depends on your natural skin tone and the severity of the skin burn. I%26#039;m lily white, and when I%26#039;m red as a tomato it can take upwards of 4-5 days just for the skin to stop hurting. And another 1-2 weeks for it to lose it%26#039;s redness and become more a golden tan color/peel away completely.

As for treatment, try a %26quot;after sun%26quot; lotion such as those with Aloe Vera to cool the skin, and Lidocaine as a pain reliever. The stuff works like magic. Trust me.

It sounds like your injury though is about a horse of a different color. Observe the skin for another 2-3 months, if there is no improvement in color and condition you should consider going to a dermatologist for their professional recommendation. Try the after sun lotion anyway, and use moistorizers in the mean while. And remember, use plenty of sunscreen if your foot will be in direct or indirect sunlight. The skin is still highly sensitive, and is at risk for skin cancer due to its tenderness.

Best of luck!|||About 3 months use cocoa butter on it
