How much will gastric bypass affect my excess skin?

I am having Gastric bypass in less than a week and i know that I will have excess skin. I will probably have it where my love handles are, a little above the belly button. How much will gastric bypass effect the stretching of my skin? I am only 19 years old and currently weigh 261 pounds. The doctor told me it will not be as bad as an older person, but still i would like to know. Is there a way to get rid of excess skin besides more surgery?|||I had bypass at 34 and can tell you that after meeting many people that have also had it, it%26#039;s a real toss up. I know you would like to know but like you rdoc said - the only known thing is that your young and you still have a lot of snap back left in your skin. But your genetics place a big part as well as how much you loose. Start to exercise as soon as you can and to be safe just have the idea in your head that after you hit goal you MAY be one of those that have to have plastic surgery to get the real look you want. That way you are not disappointed. I need it but I lost a lot more weight and have no more snap back in my skin. Good luck 2 you.
