Ok my skin never wants to work with me, it is dry/ oily I get breakouts and it is hard to find a foundation that can cover my acne/ protect my skin/ moisturize. I need help!|||If your skin is dry in some spots (cheeks) and oily in others (T-zone, nose, chin) then you have combination skin.
Combo skin is kind of tricky, because you want something that will keep your dry spots moisturized, but keep your oily spots from turning into oil slicks. The easiest way to remedy that would be to moisturize your face with a moisturizer made especially for oily skin (ideally something oil-free) and then follow up with a foundation specifically made for combo/oily skin.
The best liquid foundation I%26#039;ve used lately is Revlon ColorStay. It%26#039;s about 10-13 dollars, but the bottle lasts forever, and Revlon usually goes on sale all the time at most drugstores, so you%26#039;ll probably be able to get it for cheaper. Even if you can%26#039;t, 13 dollars is a lot less than you%26#039;d pay for a similar foundation from a makeup counter.
Anyway, the foundation comes in two formulas-- there%26#039;s one for dry/normal skin, and there%26#039;s one for combo/oily skin, which is the one that you%26#039;ll want to get. Both bottles have different lids, and the labels say which formula they are, so it%26#039;s pretty easy to tell them apart.
A translucent (colorless) powder would also be a pretty good thing to have. It will set your liquid foundation and help control shine in your oily areas throughout the day. Blotting tissues also work really well for controlling excess oil, but they%26#039;re not a necessity.
The most important thing with any foundation, especially for someone with acne is to make sure you%26#039;re using a good, gentle face wash (like Cetaphil Gentle Face wash-- $6 at drugstores) twice a day. Makeup is no fun if it gives you breakouts. :(
Hope this helps!|||Covergirl%26#039;s whipped foundation! it%26#039;s amazing. i use it all the time my skin doesn%26#039;t like me much either.
